End of Summer Carnival 2022

We had another perfect End of Summer Carnival at Oak Pointe! Over the last few years, we've put on a carnival in our courtyard for all of our residents and staff to enjoy. The idea started with our Activity Director, Shelley, who decided to create her own carnival right here at the facility since most of our residents didn't go to the county fair anymore. Shelly exclaimed, "We will have our very own carnival at the facility so that everyone can attend and enjoy!”



Our Activity Department did a great job making you feel just like you're at the fair! We had all the fair classics, including booths that served cotton candy, popcorn, french fries, ice cream, lemonade and Bev’s homemade donuts. The fair food made this event even more special for our residents because who doesn't love some sweet treats and comfort food? But a good fair or carnival isn't complete without games! Our staff volunteered to run the games so our residents could earn tickets to pick prizes. A few of the games included corn-hole, darts and can smash!



Getting all our residents outside for the day to have some fun puts a smile on everyone’s face. It's important to us at Oak Pointe to create positive experiences for and with our residents. Just because your loved one may be in a nursing home doesn't mean their lives stop there. They deserve to have great experiences and continue living their life to the fullest. Hosting events like this helps contribute to our residents' overall well-being and quality of life.
